2017 Inky Awards Shortlist
The shortlisted novels for the 2017 Inky Awards have been announced, including titles of potential genre interest:
Gold Inky (for Australian titles)

- The Bone Sparrow, Zana Fraillon (Disney-Hyperion)
- My Sister Rosa, Justine Larbalestier (Soho Teen)
- Frankie, Shivaun Plozza (Flatiron)
- One Would Think the Deep, Claire Zorn (University of Queensland Press)
Silver Inky (for international titles)
- You Know Me Well, Nina LaCour & David Levithan (St. Martin’s Griffin)
- Holding Up the Universe, Jennifer Niven (Knopf)
- Radio Silence, Alice Oseman (HarperTeen)
- Salt to the Sea, Ruta Sepetys (Penguin)
- The Sun is Also a Star, Nicola Yoon (Delacorte)
The Inky Awards are run by the Centre for Youth Literature, State Library Victoria. The shortlist is selected by a panel of six teenage judges. Anyone aged 12-20 can then vote on the winner in each category. Winning authors receive a cash prize.
