Wilde Wins 2016 Compton Crook Award
The Baltimore Science Fiction Society (BSFS) has announced the winner for the 2016 Compton Crook/Stephen Tall Award:

- Owl and the Japanese Circus, Kristi Charish (Gallery Canada)
- I Will Love You Forever, Brian Groover (Taproot)
- The Gracekeepers, Kirsty Logan (Crown)
- The Thorn of Dentonhill, Marshall Ryan Maresca (DAW)
- Beasts of Tabat, Cat Rambo (Wordfire)
- Flex, Ferrett Steinmetz (Angry Robot)
- Enter the Janitor, Josh Vogt (Wordfire)
The award honors the best first SF/fantasy/horror novel of the year, and “includes a framed award document and, for the novel’s author, a check for $1,000 and an invitation to be the Compton Crook Guest at Balticon for two years.” The award will be presented to Wilde on May 27, 2016 during the opening ceremonies at Balticon 50. Selection is by vote of the BSFS membership.
