The longlists for the Carnegie Medal for best children’s book and the Kate Greenaway Medal for best illustrations in a children’s book have been announced. Titles of of SF/F interest are listed below.

The awards are presented by the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. The shortlists will be announced on March 15, and winners will be announced June 20, 2016 in a ceremony at the British Library in London. For full lists, see the Carnegie Greenaway website.
