Saunders Wins Story Prize

George Saunders’s collection Tenth of December (Random House) was named the winner of the tenth annual Story Prize, awarded at a ceremony on March 5, 2014 in New York. The award, which honors books of short fiction, includes a $20,000 prize, while the two other nominees each receive $5,000. Saunders was previously nominated for the prize in 2006, and is the first author to be nominated more than once.
