Tan’s The Lost Thing Wins Animation Awards

Shaun Tan shares the Annecy Cristal Award for best short film with co-producer Andrew Ruhemann for The Lost Thing (Passion Pictures Australia). The Lost Thing is a 15-minute animated short film based on Tan’s eponymous picture book. The award was presented at the 34th Annecy International Animation Festival, in Annecy, France.

The film also won the Yoram Gross Animation Award for best short animated film, presented at the 57th Sydney International Film Festival as part of the Dendy awards.
