2023 Nebula Awards Winners

The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association (SFWA) announced the winners of the 2023 Nebula Awards at the 2024 Nebula Conference and Awards, held June 6-9, 2024 at the Westin Pasadena in Pasadena CA, and virtually online.

Novel

WINNER: The Saint of Bright Doors, Vajra Chandrasekera (Tordotcom)

Novella

WINNER: “Linghun”, Ai Jiang (Linghun)

Novelette

WINNER: “The Year Without Sunshine“, Naomi Kritzer (Uncanny 11-12/23)

Short Story

WINNER: “Tantie Merle and the Farmhand 4200“, R.S.A Garcia (Uncanny 7-8/23)

Andre Norton Award

WINNER: To Shape a Dragon’s Breath, Moniquill Blackgoose (Del Rey)

Ray Bradbury Award

WINNER: Barbie

  • The Boy and the Heron
  • Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
  • The Last of Us: “Long, Long Time”
  • Nimona
  • Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Game Writing

WINNER: Baldur’s Gate 3

Additional honors and awards included the SFWA Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award to Susan Mary Cooper, the SFWA Infinity Awards to Tanith Lee, the Kate Wilhelm Solstice Award to Jennell Jaquays, and the Kevin O’Donnell, Jr. Service to SFWA Award to James Hosek.
