2024 Indiana Authors Award Winners

Tess Gunty’s The Rabbit Hutch (Knopf) has won the Fiction category of the 2024 Indiana Author Awards. Unfadeable by Maurice Broaddus (Katherine Tegen) won in the Middle Grade category. The awards “celebrate the best books by Indiana authors written in eight different categories and published during the previous two years.”

Winners are chosen by a panel of judges, including “former winners, writers, educators, scholars, local bookstore owners and librarians. Each winner receives $5,000, “a hand-crafted limestone-and-steel award, and the opportunity to make a $500 donation to an Indiana library of their choice”.
