2024 YA Book Prize Shortlist
The ten-title shortlist of the 2024 YA Book Prize includes a number of titles of genre interest, including:
- Girl, Goddess, Queen, Bea Fitzgerald (Penguin Children’s)
- HappyHead, Josh Silver (Rock the Boat)
- Every Exquisite Thing, Laura Steven (Electric Monkey)
The YA Book Prize is awarded to a YA title written by an author living in the UK or Ireland. “The shortlist is selected by a team at The Bookseller and the winner is selected by a panel of expert and teenage judges, who are asked to pick the book they believe is the best-written and that they would be most likely to share with young adults.”
The prize is organized by book trade magazine The Bookseller and run in partnership with Edinburgh International Book Festival. The winner will be presented at the festival, August 22, 2024. For more information, including the complete shortlist, see the official prize website.
