2024 Dagger Awards Shortlists

The Crime Writers’ Association (CWA) has announced the shortlists for the 2024 Dagger Awards, including several titles and authors of genre interest.

Judges for the Gold Dagger are Angus Batey, Lyn Brown, Amanda Cassidy, Jess Faraday, Pippa Macallister, Colin Murray, Richard Reynolds (Non-Voting Chair), and Ngaire Mason-Wenn. Wallace. Judges for the Ian Fleming Steel Dagger are Helena Baser, Corinne Turner (Chair), Lisa Moylet, Ayo Onatade, Craig Sisterson, Simon Ward, and David Wilkerson. Judges for the Sapere Books Historical Dagger are Edward James, Janet Laurence (chair), Andre Paine, and Angela Rippon. Judges for the Short Story Dagger are Sophie Goodfellow, Mike Linane, and Ayo Onatade (chair). Judges for the Dagger in the Library are Ian Anstice, Mirka Duxberry, Kay Easson, Marleen Kennedy, Jennifer Stewart, and Sue Wilkinson (chair). Judges for the Historical Dagger are Charlotte Beyer, Paul Burke, Professor Edward James (Chair), and Farah Mendlesohn. Judges for the Dagger for Crime Fiction in Translation are Duncan Beattie, Maxim Jakubowski (Chair), Ignaty Dyakov-Richmond, Meggy Roussel, and Sarah Ward. Judges for the Short Story Dagger are Chris Simmons (Chair), Harriet Tyce, and Laura Wilson. Judges for the Dagger in the Library are Ian Anstice (Chair), Olivia Davies, Donna Duff, Marleen Kennedy, and Leanne McMahon.
