Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros remained at the top of the hardcover list, squeaking out a razor-thin victory over Sarah J. Maas’s latest book in her Crescent City series, House of Flame and Shadow. The Serpent & the Wings of Night, the first book in the Crowns of Nyaxia series by Carissa Broadbent (Bramble), was our new runner-up. We had 52 nominated titles, up from 43 last month. Dune by Frank Herbert took the top spot on the paperback list, with Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn a distant second. There were no new runners-up. Fifty-three titles were nominated this month, down from last month’s 66 titles.
Sarah J. Maas dominated the trade paperback list with six books including A Court of Mist and Fury in first place, and A Court of Thorns and Roses and A Court of Wings and Ruin in second. Our new runner-up was Heir of Fire (Bloomsbury US), the third book in Sarah J. Maas’s Throne of Glass series. The trade paperback list had 61 nominated titles, up from last month’s 58.
On the media and gaming-related book list, only one book made our list, Aliens: Bishop by T.R. Napper. There were no new runners-up. We had 16 nominated titles, down from 25 last month.
