2024 Branford Boase Award Longlist
The longlist for the 2024 Branford Boase Award has been announced, and includes several titles of genre interest:

- How Far We’ve Come, Joyce Efia Harmer (Simon and Schuster)
- Vivi Conway and the Sword of Legend, Lizzie Huxley-Jones (Knights Of)
- The Kingdom Over the Sea, Zohra Nabi (Simon and Schuster)
- City of Stolen Magic, Nazneen Ahmed Pathak (Puffin)
- The Destiny of Minou Moonshine, Gita Ralleigh (Zephyr)
- The Witchstone Ghosts, Emily Randall-Jones (Chicken House)
- Yomi and the Fury of Ninki Nanka, Davina Tijani, illustrated by Adam Douglas-Bagley (Little Tiger)
- Greenwild, Pari Thomson (Macmillan)
- The Sleeping Stones, Beatrice Wallbank (Firefly)
The award is “given annually to the author of an outstanding debut novel for children.” The author and editor of the winning title each receive an engraved trophy, and the author receives £1,000. The shortlist will be announced on April 25, 2024, and the winner will on July 11, 2024 at a ceremony in London.
