Caryl Lewis Wins Wales Book of the Year Award
Literature Wales has announced the English-language winners of the 2023 Wales Book of the Year Awards. Drift by Caryl Lewis (Doubleday) was the Overall Winner, and the winner of the Rhys Davies Trust Fiction Award.
The Awards are held annually to celebrate “outstanding literary talent from Wales across many genres and in both English and Welsh.” There are 12 total awards in English and Welsh, and all winners split the £14,000 collective prize fund. The winners were announced at the 2023 Wales Book of the Year Ceremony on July 13, 2023 in Cardiff. For more information, including the full list of winners, see the Literature Wales website.
