2023 Dinesh Allirajah Prize for Short Fiction Winners
Winners of the the 2023 Dinesh Allirajah Prize for Short Fiction, including several works of genre interest, have been announced:
- First Prize: “Mouthless Cat, Lion Dance”, Monica Kam
- Second Prize: “Dune Elegy”, So Mayer
- Third Prize: “We/Ourselves”, Katie Hale
- Special Mention: “Hum”, Melissa Jackson-Wagner
The prize is “open to both published and unpublished writers and aims to seek out the best established and up and coming voices in the form.” The theme for the 2023 prize was “Music.”
The first prize winner receives £500, and “all 10 shortlisted authors will be featured in an eBook anthology which will be published by Comma Press and sold online.”
