Karunatilaka Wins 2022 Booker Prize

The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida by Shehan Karunatilaka (Sort Of) has won the 2022 Booker Prize.

The £50,000 prize is “open to works by writers of any nationality, written in English and published in the UK or Ireland.” This year’s judges are Shahidha Bari, Helen Castor, M. John Harrison, Alain Mabanckou, and Neil MacGregor (chair).
