IAFA Announces 2023 Guests of Honor
The International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts (IAFA) has announced that Oghenechovwe Donald Ekpeki will be Guest of Honor and Isiah Lavender III will be the Guest Scholar for the 2023 International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts, scheduled for March 15-18, 2023. “Afrofuturism” is the theme.
Abstracts are due October 31, 2022. IAFA invites proposals that “may address, but need not be limited to” themes and topics including “Representations of African-ness in space and time,” “Afrofuturism among Othered futurisms,” “Masking, unmasking and empowerment,” and more.
