Interzone Deal Falls Through; PS to Launch New Magazine
We previously announced that PS Publishing would take over Interzone from TTA Press, with Ian Whates as the new editor. That deal has fallen through, but Whates will edit a new digital magazine for PS Publishing instead. The PS team says:
This has come as something of a considerable disappointment, particularly bearing in mind the amount of work that the whole team has put into the project. We had a long discussion with editor Ian Whates and all of us are in agreement that the energy and effort we’ve invested in this should not go to waste.
Therefore, we are excited to announce that as of this summer, PS Publishing will be launching a new digital genre magazine provisionally called ParSec. We’re all of us fired up about this new venture—heck, we’ve already bought more than two issues worth of tales so it’s fair to say that something very special this way comes.
While you are here, please take a moment to support Locus with a one-time or recurring donation. We rely on reader donations to keep the magazine and site going, and would like to keep the site paywall free, but WE NEED YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT to continue quality coverage of the science fiction and fantasy field.
