2020 Wellman Award Shortlist
The North Carolina Speculative Fiction Foundation has announced the shortlist for the 2020 Manly Wade Wellman Award. The award recognizes “outstanding achievement in science fiction and fantasy novels written by North Carolina authors.”

- The Women’s War, Jenna Glass (Del Rey)
- The Twisted Ones, T. Kingfisher (Saga)
- Breaking Gods, D.J. Molles (self-published)
- To the Bones, Valerie Nieman (West Virginia University Press)
- A Fall in Autumn, Michael G. Williams (Falstaff)
ConGregate 2020, scheduled for July 17-19, 2020 at the Downtown Marriott in Winston-Salem NC, has been canceled. Winner(s) will be announced July 17, 2020, but the “location and manner of the announcement is subject to change at this time.”
