2019 Inky Awards Shortlists
Shortlists for the 2019 Inky Awards have been announced, including titles of genre interest:
Gold Inky Award (for Australian titles)
- Hive, A.J. Betts (Pan Australia)
- Whisper, Lynette Noni (Kids Can)
- After the Lights Go Out, Lili Wilkinson (Allen & Unwin)
Silver Inky Award (for international titles)
- The Cruel Prince, Holly Black (Little, Brown)
- The Belles, Dhonielle Clayton (Gollancz)
- The Astonishing Colour of After, Emily X.R. Pan (Little, Brown)
- Scythe, Neal Shusterman (Simon & Schuster BFYR)
The awards, given by State Library Victoria, are “Australia’s only YA awards decided entirely by teens” and are open to voting from July 19 – August 18, with winners to be announced September 4, 2019 during the Melbourne Writers Festival in Melbourne, Australia.
