2016 Wellman Award Nominees
The North Carolina Speculative Fiction Foundation has announced the shortlist for the 2016 Manly Wade Wellman Award. The award recognizes “outstanding achievement in science fiction and fantasy novels written by North Carolina authors.”

- Vendetta, Gail Z. Martin (Solaris)
- War of Shadows, Gail Z. Martin (Orbit)
- Iron and Blood, Gail Z. Martin & Larry N. Martin (Solaris)
- Castle Hangnail, Ursula Vernon (Dial)
Final voting is open to members of four North Carolina science fiction and fantasy conventions. The winner will be announced at ConGregate, July 16, 2016 at the Radisson Hotel in High Point NC.
