Hachette Books Formed

Hachette Book Group has created a new division, Hachette Books, to publish the 1,000+ backlist titles acquired when HBG bought Hyperion last year, and to publish new books in a variety of areas. Publishing veteran Mauro DiPreta will take over from interim publisher Martha Levin as vice president and publisher of the division beginning March 31, 2014, and will oversee all Hyperion employees and add new staff as necessary. The Hachette Books name will replace the Hyperion name on backlist titles as they are reprinted.
