No major debuts, though several titles appear on the extended (i.e. below 15th place) New York Times lists this week, and in comparable positions on other lists: Jasper Fforde’s The Woman Who Died a Lot (Viking) in 24th place on the hardcover list, Mercedes Lackey’s Redoubt (DAW) in 20th place, David Weber & Jane Lindskold’s Fire Season (Baen) in 30th place, and, on the mass market paperback list, Faith Hunter’s Death’s Rival (Roc) in 23rd place.
The highest ranking debut this week is gaming-tie Halo: The Thursday War by Karen Traviss (Tor), in 8th position on the NYT fiction trade paperback list.
