Support Strange Horizons!
Strange Horizons is in the middle of their 2011 fund drive–but they’ve only raised a quarter of their goal of $8000. We all should support them, since they are consistently one of the best venues for genre fiction and non-fiction on the internet. Often we’re happy to support a Kickstarter campaign for something that could be new and cool–but might forget to support an established concern that is already awesome and cool. The reason they can maintain their excellence is because they pay their contributors, both fiction and non-fiction (even while all their editorial staff is volunteer). That costs money–money that could come from you!
In return, all contributors will be entered into a drawing for all sorts of interesting prizes, from free and signed books to original artwork.
This is the magazine that publishes authors and critics such as Saladin Ahmed, Charlie Jane Anders, Christopher Barzak, Elizabeth Bear, Bruce Boston, Cecil Castellucci, Matthew Cheney, John Clute, L.
