Amazon E-Book Credits

Online bookseller has begun to issue credits to buyers who purchased e-books published from Hachette, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Macmillan, and Penguin on the site between April 1, 2010 and May 21, 2012. Credits are automatically applied to customer accounts and can be used on any book purchased at Amazon going forward, print or electronic.

The credits are part of the settlements in the antitrust lawsuit brought by state attorneys general against the Big Six publishers, and a similar class action lawsuit.
