The Mythopoeic Awards, nominated and voted by members of the Mythopoeic Society, are given to works of fiction and nonfiction that maintain the "spirit of the Inklings" — J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Charles Williams. This year's winners will be announced during Mythcon 34 in Nashville, TN, July 25-28, 2003.

Saturn Awards
Winners of this year's Saturn Awards, given annually by The Academy of Science Fiction Fantasy & Horror Films, were announced May 18 in Los Angeles. Recipients in 27 categories included four awards to Minority Report (including writing and directing), and four to The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

Italia Awards
Winners of this year's Italia Awards, chosen by a jury of fans and members of World SF Italia and presented at the Italian National SF Convention in San Marino, May 1 - 4, 2003, include Lois McMaster Bujold's Komarr as Best International Novel, and works by Enrica Zunic' and Vittorio Catani for novel and short story.
