SFFH on General Lists

Margaret Atwood's Oryx and Crake (Doubleday) remains on 6 lists, in its 4th week on the charts. All five of Stephen King's The Dark Tower series rank on Amazon's not-yet-published list. The new book, volume 5, Wolves of the Calla, is due from Donald M. Grant in November -- here's the publisher's page -- while the first four volumes will be reprinted by Viking in late June. Also on Amazon's nyp list this week: Terry Goodkind's Naked Empire, due in July from Tor; and Dean Koontz's The Face, already in stores in late May, from Bantam, though not yet on any list based on in-store sales. All lists rank hardcovers and paperbacks separately, except for the USA Today list, which is a single list combining fiction and nonfiction in all formats, and BookScan, which combines hardcovers and paperbacks within lists for fiction, nonfiction, and children's. Dates shown are posted dates, except those in parentheses, which are dates compiled. New York Times posts its list one week in advance of print publication.

Note that some sources do not compile paperback bestsellers, and some exclude YA books (like the Harry Potter series) from their hardcover and paperback fiction lists.
