Event Horizon Suspends The webzine Event Horizon will go on indefinite hiatus beginning December 15, 1999, while seeking investors and/or a buyer to underwrite its continuation. Event Horizon: SF, Fantasy, and Horror went online in August 1998, as a follow-on to Omni Online by editor Ellen Datlow and associates Pam Weintraub and Robert K.J. Killheffer. The webzine published fiction, reviews, and opinion pieces, and hosted weekly online chats. One story, Kelly Link's ''The Specialist's Hat'', just won a World Fantasy Award at the World Fantasy Convention earlier this month. According to Ellen Datlow's editorial, several more stories, reviews, and nonfiction pieces will be published over the next couple of weeks, and the weekly chats will continue through December 9th. Datlow has been hired as a full-time editor by scifi.com, and pursues numerous other projects, while Rob Killheffer's magazine, Century, just published its much-belated fifth issue. (Thu 25 Nov 1999)
