Worldmakers: SF Adventures in Terraforming ed. Gardner Dozois (St. Martin’s Griffin 0-312-27570-6, Dec 2001, $17.95, 446 + xiii, tp, cover by Chesley Bonestell) Anthology of 20 stories about terraforming. Dozois’s preface discusses the SF tradition of such stories. Authors include Poul Anderson, Cordwainer Smith, Kim Stanley Robinson, and Stephen Baxter.

The Year’s Best Science Fiction: Eighteenth Annual Collection ed. Gardner Dozois (St. Martin’s Griffin 0-312-27478-5, Jul 2001, $18.95, xlvii + 617pp, tp, cover by David A. Hardy) Best-of-the-Year anthology of 23 stories, with a summation of the year by Dozois. A St. Martin’s hardcover edition (-27465-3, $29.95) is also available.
