SFFH on General Lists

Susanna Clarke's forthcoming fantasy novel, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (Bloomsbury), due to be published Sept. 8th in the US, benefited from advance publicity in yesterday's New York Times Magazine article to rank as high as #15 on Amazon's Top 100 list today. This season's genre and associated bestsellers, Stephen King's The Dark Tower VI: Song of Susannah and Karen Joy Fowler's The Jane Austen Book Club, are still performing notably. King's novel ranks on 6 lists this week, as high as #9 at Publishers Weekly; Fowler's is also still on 6 lists, as high as #6 at BookSense. The trade paperback of Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveller's Wife, after 11 weeks, is also on 6 lists, ranking in the top 10 on 3 of them. Note that some sources do not compile paperback bestsellers, and some exclude YA books (like the Harry Potter series) from their hardcover and paperback fiction lists.
