The notable debut this week is Junot Díaz' Pulitzer Prize winner The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao in trade paperback, ranking #1 in San Francisco, #4 on the New York Times' trade paperback list, #10 and #13 on lists at Washington Post and Publishers Weekly.
Also debuting this week: S.M. Stirling's The Scourge of God (Roc), ranking #19 on the New York Times fiction hardcover list this week, and #139 on the combined USA Today list.
Meanwhile, Christopher Paolini's Brisingr (Knopf), third in his series that began with Eragon and due for release on Sept. 20th, ranks #1 today on all three Amazon lists. It's already ranked on Amazon lists for over 30 weeks, with pre-publication sales.
