Dune titles led the pack this month, with Dune: The Battle of Corrin in first place in the hardcover category. New runner-up: Brimstone, Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child (Warner). Nominees: 52, down from 64.
In paperbacks, Dune: The Machine Crusade came up on top. New runner-up: Raven's Shadow by Patricia Briggs (Ace). Nominees: 62, down from 86.
The annual The Year's Best Fantasy & Horror was the leader in trade paperbacks. New runner-up: The Coyote Kings of the Space Age Bachelor Pad by Minister Faust (Del Rey). Nominees: 41, down from 51.
Star Wars: The New Jedi Order: The Unifying Force took the media-related category. Nominees: 23, down from 32.
The top spot in gaming-related titles was again taken by Forgotten Realms: The Lone Drow, with Halo titles still strong. Nominees: 17, down from 24.
