Dune: House Harkonnen completely dominated the hardcover category. Robert Bloch's The Lost Bloch, Volume 2: Hell on Earth (Subterranean) was the new runner-up. We had 87 nominees, up from 76 last month.
A Clash of Kings had no close competition in the paperback category for the second month running. New runner-up: The Martians by Kim Stanley Robinson (Bantam Spectra). Nominees: 102, up from 87.
Cryptonomicon came roaring back to No. 1 on the trade paperback list with a huge margin. New runner-up: Look to Windward (UK Import), by Iain M. Banks. Nominees: 62, up from 47.
Star Wars: The New Jedi Order: Agents of Chaos: Jedi Eclipse topped the media-related list with twice as many votes as the next contender. Nominees: 32, up one from last month.
Magic: The Gathering: Invasion took first place in gaming-related books, with the latest DragonLance offering not far behind. Nominees: 25, down one from last month.
