Raymond E. Feist tops the hardcovers for a second month, with David Weber not far behind. New runner-up: Children of God by Mary Doria Russell (Villard). There were 89 nominees, up from 77 last month.
Larry Niven heads the paperbacks by a big margin, and Peter F. Hamilton has two titles on the list, parts of the same mega-book. The new runner-up is Officer-Cadet by Rick Shelley (Ace). Nominees: 100, to last month's 106.
We had a rare tie for #1 spot in trade paperbacks, and The Mists of Avalon is back yet again. New runner-up: The Innsmouth Cycle edited by Robert Price (Chaosium). We had 74 nominees, down from last month's 78.
In media tie-ins, Star Trek took over from Star Wars for first place, well ahead. New runner-up: Babylon 5: The Coming of Shadows by Jane Killick (Del Rey). There were 46 nominees, down from 52.
For gaming-related books, DragonLance has two holdovers topping the list. New runner-up: Shadowrun: Technobabel by Stephen Kenson (Roc). We had 25 nominees, the same as last month.
