Li Wins 2023 PEN/Faulkner Award

The Book of Goose by Yiyun Li (Farrar, Straus, Giroux) is the winner of the 2023 PEN/Faulkner Award. The prize “honors the best published works of fiction by American citizens in a calendar year.” This year’s judges were Christopher Bollen, R.O. Kwon, and Tiphanie Yanique.

The finalists were announced in March and the longlist was announced in February. The winner receives $15,000 and finalists each receive $5,000. For more information, see the PEN/Faulkner website.
