2022 Rhysling Award Long Poem Winners

The Science Fiction & Fantasy Poetry Association (SFPA) has announced the winners of the annual Rhysling Awards for SF, fantasy, and horror poetry in the long poem category.

LONG POEM

  • First place: “The Bookstore“, Beth Cato (New Myths Fall/Winter ’21)
  • Second place: “Reservation Fairy Tales 101—Final Exam”, Marsheila Rockwell (Augur Magazine 11/21)
  • Third place: “Alexander’s Babylon”, Marge Simon & Mary Turzillo (Victims)

Honorable mentions include “Medusa Gets a Haircut”, Theodora Goss (Uncanny 1-2/21) and “The Captain Flies”, Avi Silver (Uncanny 9-10/21). Winners were chosen by the members of the SFPA.

The winners of the Short Poem category were previously announced.
