The winners the 2022 Ditmar Awards for achievement in Australian science fiction have been announced.

Best Novel

Best Novella or Novelette

Best Short Story

Best Collected Work

  • WINNER: Tool Tales, Ellen Datlow & Kaaron Warren (IFWG Australia)

Best Fan Publication in Any Medium

  • WINNER: Earl Grey Editing, Elizabeth Fitzgerald
  • SF Commentary, Bruce Gillespie

Best Fan Writer

  • WINNER: Kat Clay, for interviews and reviews on YouTube and katclay.com

Best Fan Artist

  • WINNER: C.H. Pearce, for fanart on Instagram, including “Em and Gyre”, “Lysande”, “Cruelty Free”, and “Rocket Launch Good”

William Atheling, Jr. Award for Criticism or Review

  • WINNER: Ian Mond, for reviews in Locus

Some categories had more than five nominees due to ties, while the Best Artwork and Best New Talent categories had no winners due to insufficient nominations.

Winners were announced at the 2022 Ditmar Awards ceremony on October 1, which was hosted during Conflux 16 from September 30 – October 3, 2022 in Canberra, Australia.
