2022 NBA Fiction Longlist

The ten-title longlist for the National Book Awards (NBA) in the Fiction category has been announced, including the following titles and authors of genre interest.

  • Shutter, Ramona Emerson (Soho Crime)
  • The Birdcatcher, Gayl Jones (Beacon)
  • Maria, Maria and Other Stories, Marytza K. Rubio (Liveright)

Publishers submitted 463 books for the award; the judges are Ben Fountain (chair), Brandon Hobson, Pam Houston, Dana Johnson, and Michelle Malonzo.

Winners in all categories will be announced at the National Book Awards ceremony on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. For more, see the official announcement.
