2022 Literary Laddership for Emerging African Authors Fellows Announced

Olaposi Halim and Davina Kawuma have been announced as the 2022 Fellows for The Literary Laddership for Emerging African Authors. Started by Suyi Davies Okungbowa, the fellowship “aims to support, elevate and connect emerging fiction authors of Black and/or African descent, based primarily on the African continent and writing in English.”

The fellows were selected out of 76 applicants, and were judged anonymously. Fellows “will be offered a funded ($500 each) three-month digital residency, membership in a private community of practice, and continuous support through the publishing ecosystem.”
