The finalists for the 2021 Sidewise Awards for Alternate History have been announced.

  • The Apollo Murders, Chris Hadfield (Mulholland)
  • The Kingdoms, Natasha Pulley (Bloomsbury)

Short Form

  • “Hitchcock’s Titanic”, Matt Kresal (Tales from Alternate Earths Vol. III)
  • “Gunpowder Treason”, Alan Smale (Tales from Alternate Earths Vol. III)
  • “Billie the Kid”, Rick Wilber (Asimov’s 9-10/21)

The Sidewise Awards have been presented annually since 1995 to recognize excellence in alternate historical fiction. Winners will be announced during Chicon 8, the 80th World Science Fiction Convention, to be held September 1-5, 2022 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago in Chicago ILL.
