2022 Indie Book Awards Winners

The 2022 Indie Book Awards Winners have been announced. Mrs Death Misses Death by Salena Godden (Canongate) won in the Fiction category, and When I Was the Greatest by Jason Reynolds, with Akhran Girmay as illustrator (Atheneum; Faber), won in the Children’s Fiction category. There were several titles and authors of genre interest on the shortlist.

The Indie Book Awards are for paperback books and are “curated exclusively by independent bookshops as part of Independent Bookshop Week (IBW, 18-25 June 2022).” Winners were announced June 24, 2022 on the Mark Forrest show, which airs on Scala Radio.
