2022 International Booker Prize Longlist
The 13-title longlist for the 2022 International Booker Prize has been announced, including several titles and authors of genre interest:
- Cursed Bunny,
- After the Sun, Jonas Eika, translated by Sherilyn Nicolette Hellberg (Riverhead/Lollipop)
- A New Name: Septology VI – VII,
- More Than I Love My Life,
- Paradais,
- Happy Stories, Mostly, Norman Erikson Pasaribu
- The Books of Jacob,
The award is given “every year for a single book that is translated into English and published in the UK or Ireland.” The £50,000 prize is divided equally among the author and translator(s). Shortlisted authors and translators will each receive £1,000. Judges for 2022 are Merve Emre, Petina Gappah, Viv Groskop, Jeremy Tiang, and Frank Wynne (chair). The shortlist will be announced April 7, 2022 and the winner on May 26.
