Inaugural Feminist Futures Award

The Omega Sci-Fi Awards have announced the creation of the Feminist Futures Award. The Feminist Futures Award will be co-presented by Artemis Journal, and “will be awarded to a distinct winner for an outstanding feminist sci-fi story.”

This award recognizes a science fiction story that embraces feminist themes. Top entries will exemplify excellence in feminist storytelling. We encourage stories that capture the complexities and other aspects of identity, as well as intersectionality, through the imaginative power of science fiction. This competition is open to people of any gender and/or no gender.

Submissions are open to writers 16 years and older. The deadline for entry is December 21, 2021. More information about the award will be announced at a later date.

For more information, including eligibility rules and how to enter, see the Omega Sci-Fi Awards website.
