Publishing platform Curious Fictions announced that it will go on indefinite hiatus starting August 27, 2021. The site featured many speculative fiction writers in a subscription model format. Founder and CEO Tanya Breshears said,
As much as I love this site, the stories you’ve published, and the wonderful people I’ve met through it, keeping it going is no longer sustainable. The business had a little outside funding at first, but subscriptions and payments never got to the point of allowing the site to pay for itself, or to justify more funding.

While you are here, please take a moment to support Locus with a one-time or recurring donation. We rely on reader donations to keep the magazine and site going, and would like to keep the site paywall free, but WE NEED YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT to continue quality coverage of the science fiction and fantasy field.
