2021 WSFA Small Press Award Finalists

Finalists for the 2021 Washington Science Fiction Association (WSFA) Small Press Award for Short Fiction have been announced:

  • “Memories Taste Best When Marinated With Sadness”, Feng Gooi (Hexagon Fall ’20)
  • “Foster-Child of Silence and Slow Time”, Brian Hugenbruch (My Battery Is Low and It Is Getting Dark)
  • “Metal Like Blood in the Dark”, T. Kingfisher (Uncanny 9-10/20)
  • “The Longest Season in the Garden of the Tea Fish”, Jo Miles (Strange Horizons 4/20)
  • “Guest Athletes”, Jennifer R. Povey (The Phantom Games: Dimensions Unknown Vol. III)
  • “Reformed”, Caias Ward (Mysterion 3/23/20)
  • “Open House on Haunted Hill”, John Wiswell (Diabolical Plots 6/15/20)

The award, recognizing “the best original short fiction published by small presses in the previous year,” will be presented at Capclave, to be held October 1-3, 2021 at the Rockville Hilton in Rockville MD.
