The art contest, for “artists who are relatively new to paid illustration work for speculative publications in English,” is coordinated by Dante Luiz, with judges Charis Loke and Juliana Pinho.
Submissions for both the writing contest and the art contest open August 10 and close October 11, 2021. First prize for each contest is $1,000, second prize $500, and third prize $200.

While you are here, please take a moment to support Locus with a one-time or recurring donation. We rely on reader donations to keep the magazine and site going, and would like to keep the site paywall free, but WE NEED YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT to continue quality coverage of the science fiction and fantasy field.
