Mexicona, the first Mexican virtual convention of speculative fiction, has launched the Premio Imaginación y Futuro (Imagination and Future Award) “to celebrate, recognize and uplift speculative works created by people of Mexican origin” and to “strengthen and build a more diverse and vibrant SFF community in Mexico and Latin America.”
The award will consist of an honor list, accepting recommendations until April 30, 2021, and a short story collection prize, accepting recommendations until May 16, 2021. Inaugural prizes will be awarded at the second Mexicona convention, to be held in September 2021.

We rely on reader donations to keep the magazine and site going, and would like to keep the site paywall free, but WE NEED YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT to continue quality coverage of the science fiction and fantasy field.
