2020 Diverse Writers and Diverse Worlds Grants Winners

The Speculative Literature Foundation (SLF) announced that Kanyinsola Olorunnisola has won the 2020 Diverse Writers Grant for his work “How Dead Men Come Back Home”, and Tatiana Schlote-Bonne has won the 2020 Diverse Worlds Grant for her work “The Afterlife Memoirs”.

The Diverse Writers Grant is “intended to support new and emerging writers from underrepresented and underprivileged groups, such as writers of color, women, queer writers, disabled writers, working-class writers, etc. — those whose marginalized identities may present additional obstacles in the writing/publishing process.” The Diverse Worlds Grant is given “for work that best presents a diverse world, regardless of the writer’s background.” Each grant is for $500, made possible by donations from Faye Bi and Ellen Wright.
