Washington Wins 2020 Young Lions Award

The New York Public Library announced Bryan Washington’s Lot (Atlantic) as the winner of its Young Lions Fiction Award for 2020. The $10,000 prize is awarded by a panel of judges “each year to a writer age 35 or younger for a novel or a collection of short stories.” 2019’s winner was Ling Ma’s Severance (Farrar, Straus, Giroux).
