Robert J. Sawyer has been appointed to the Order of Ontario, that province’s highest honor, which “recognizes individuals whose exceptional achievement in their field have left a lasting legacy in the province, in Canada and beyond.” Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and Chancellor of the Order of Ontario, called Sawyer “a champion of the Canadian fiction industry.” He will be invested as a Member of the Order during a ceremony on February 27, 2018 at Queen’s Park in Toronto.
