2017 National Book Critics Circle Awards

Exit West by Mohsin Hamid (Riverhead) and Sing, Unburied, Sing by Jesmyn Ward (Scribner) are among the finalists for the 2017 National Book Critics Circle (NBCC) Awards in the fiction category. Winners will be announced March 15, 2018 in a ceremony at the New School in New York NY. “A reading by the finalists will take place the evening before the awards, also at the New School.”

Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado (Graywolf) won the John Leonard Prize, “established to recognize outstanding first books in any genre and named in honor of founding NBCC member John Leonard.”
