Ruby and Levithan Win ALA Awards

Laura Ruby’s Bone Gap (Balzer + Bray) won the 2016 Michael L. Printz Award for excellence in young adult literature, announced January 11, 2016 at the American Library Association midwinter conference in Boston.

David Levithan received the Margaret A. Edwards Award for lifetime achievement in writing for young adults.

Also of genre interest: Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits, David Wong (Thomas Dunne) and Half the World, Joe Abercrombie (Del Rey) won Alex Awards, given to adult books that appeal to teen audiences .
